What does the five-year health guarantee cover?
I give a five-year congenital health guarantee. If the kitten dies in the first five years because of a genetic defect passed down by a parent, I replace the kitten when you have followed the guarantee. The defects and life-threatening diseases that qualify are of the kidney, heart, pancreas, spine, or liver.

Does a deposit reserve my kitten?
Yes. A $500 deposit holds the kitten until pickup, and it counts toward the price. It is not refundable unless the kitten is unfit to place. Fill out the contract I email you before I can take a deposit. I only take a deposit when the kitten is listed as available. Deposit is Venmo, Cash App, or Zelle. The rest is cash at pickup.

Can I purchase a kitten with breeding rights?
No. Every kitten leaves on a spay or neuter contract. You spay or neuter at 6 months, and you send me proof within 2 weeks of the surgery. That proof is your job, not the vet's. I also send a Spay Secure contract so that part is tracked.

Are the kittens litter box trained?
Yes. They are using a litter box before they leave. Accidents can still happen. The New Kitten Protocol sheet is the thing I want you to read.

I have other pets and kids. Will these kittens be all right with them?
Yes. They are young, and they settle into homes that already have kids, dogs, or other cats. Read the quarantine guidelines so the first days stay safe for the kitten and for the animals already there.

How should my kitten be fed?
Dry Blue Buffalo kitten food stays out all day. Blueridge Beef Kitten Mix raw goes out in the afternoon. Fancy Feast canned is morning and evening. They eat more than people expect, so keep food available. Some of them also want a midday raw or wet meal.

Why should we get our kitten to the vet so quickly?
The contract puts the health check on you. You have 3 days to have your own vet see the kitten. Book that visit before the kitten arrives.

My kitten has diarrhea right after I got him. What should I do?
A new home is stressful, and stress can cause diarrhea. Take the kitten to the vet, follow the New Kitten Protocol, and tell me what the vet says.

What happens at the first vet visit here?
Before they leave me, a licensed vet examines them, runs a fecal check, and gives two rounds of FVRCP. They also get a first dose of flea medication and a nano chip.
